Umbrellas for Peace in Munich, Germany
Under the direction of Marianne Manz, pupils, parents and teachers of a
school in Munich, the Luitpold Gymnasium, threw an extraordinary
Umbrella-event on 20th July 2007. During their summer party the children
and teenagers sold their painted peace-umbrellas for a good purpose:
they donated their revenues to the oncological hospital for children in
Kiew, Ukraina. Many persons and enterprises supported this marvelous
engagement, above others the companies Microsoft, Dräger, Waco, Wempe,
Novel, Pinsel und Co., Quilt und Textilkunst, Lease Trend, Finest
Sportswear, Salberg, and also the German Theater, Weißes Bräuhaus,
